Some restaurants feed you. The Whistle Stop Tea Room makes you feel at home — and has been doing it since 1995.
Nestled in the charming antique district of historic Downtown Tomball, The Whistle Stop Tea Room is located in The Relics by the Railroad Center at 107 Commerce Street — right across from the railroad tracks that give this beloved spot its name. It's the kind of place that feels like it's been there forever, because it practically has.
The menu is a love letter to homemade comfort food — soups, sandwiches, salads, and quiche all made fresh from their own special recipes, with Texas-sized portions that mean you will not leave hungry. The famous Chicken Tortilla Soup has earned a loyal following of its own, and the dessert case — stocked with no fewer than 15 made-in-house options every single day — is reason enough to make the trip. Don't leave without trying the croissant Bread Pudding drizzled with warm Buttery Rum Sauce. You'll thank us later.
From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, you're treated like family. That's not just a tagline — it's the heartbeat of everything The Whistle Stop does. The team genuinely wants to know your story, make your meal memorable, and see you walk back through that door again.
Lunch is served Monday through Saturday, 11am–3pm. Reservations are recommended.
